Society Connections. Society Connections is an official publication
of ASHRAE. This electronic newsletter links the communities of
ASHRAE and provides a simple way for members to connect with the
Society. Society Connections is published on the second Wednesday of
each month.
The new edition of ASHRAE Technology
Council’s quarterly newsletter updates members on standards, technical
activities, research administration, environmental health and
refrigeration. This edition covers the formation of a task group
to develop an ASHRAE policy on international standards. It also
covers the development of a plan by the Policy Subcommittee of
the Environmental Health Committee to assist ASHRAE in responding
to natural disasters throughout the world.

ASHRAE’s technical program will feature shorter sessions, more
sessions and fewer conflicts, beginning with the Society’s 2006
Annual Meeting in Quebec City, QC, Canada on June 24–28. With the
schedule changes, some 30 additional time slots have been created.
The additional slots will allow for ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturers
and two-part presentations. Time slots for seminars and Transaction
sessions are being reduced to 1 1/2 hours from 2 hours.
